Fashion Week will have an important international presence
Buenos Aires - The next edition of Costa Rica Fashion Week will feature a presentation on the catwalk by 11 designers from countries such as the Dominican Republic, Spain, Chile, Peru and Colombia. In addition, for the first time, students from the Istituto Marangoni will be part of the event. technologyify

“From our platform we consider the participation of
different international designers important, seeking to expose Costa Rican
talent to the standards and guidelines that are used abroad. In addition,
with international participation in our fashion shows, we attract new audiences
that will be able to get to know Costa Rican design; positioning Costa Rica
as a fashion reference in the region, attracting tourists and buyers to our
country ”says Karina Díaz, director of Costa Rica Fashion Week.
From Colombia, four exponents of the fashion sector
with an important international presence will be presented, such as Pepa Pombo,
Lina Cantillo, Carlo Carrizosa and Beatriz Camacho.
Footwear and accessories designer Jessica Butrich
will arrive from Peru: “I am very excited for Butrich to arrive in Costa Rica. It
will be the first time I visit the country, and we are super happy with the
reception we are having. I hope that Costa Rica Fashion Week will be a
platform for more people to get to know the brand, fall in love with our shoes
and accessories, and have fun with us ”, says the Peruvian creator.
From Spain, Duly Romero and Juan Carlos Mesa will
participate, who will present two collections, one as creative director of the
firm Angel Schlesser and another with their own brand Maison Mesa. “We are
already preparing everything to go to Costa Rica, very excited and very happy,
preparing a great parade so that everyone can enjoy it together with us. Being
part of Costa Rica Fashion Week makes us very excited, we already feel part of
the Costa Rican family. We are happy."
The Chilean Loraine Holmes will be showing her proposal
on the catwalk, as well as the Dominican brand Isla and White, both in the
process of expansion and being part of a multiplicity of events and parades
such as Latin American Fashion Summit and New York Fashion Week.
Also from the Dominican Republic, will be the
designer Gianinna Azar, who with the Caribbean seal of her brand has had the
opportunity to dress personalities such as Jennifer Lopez, Thalía, Gwen Stefani
and Britney Spears.
Costa Rica Fashion Week will take place from August 5
to 7 in the Old Customs, where there will be a total of 24 fashion shows that
will be broadcast live and free of charge on the platform's YouTube channel.
